Box 1 of this collection contains newspaper clippings collected by Norma LeVeque, most dealing with the University of Colorado, Boulder, and with Boulder in general. There is also correspondence from Ralph Carr, former governor of Colorado, in which he tells anecdotes about his early life in Cripple Creek, Colo. Dr. Norma Ebolie LeVeque, collector of all of these materials, was a biology professor at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Earl M. LeVeque was her brother. William B. LeVeque was their father. All three were heavily involved in mining operations at the Richmond lode and other mines in the Gold Hill Mining District of Boulder County, Colo., ca. 1905-1963.
